Cook and Arman both quit Kent roles

All change at the St Lawrence as Director of Cricket and Head of Women's Cricket both leave

05.10.26, 10:58 Updated 05.10.26, 10:59

There was eyebrow-raising news from the St. Lawrence this morning when it was announced that both Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, and Head of Women's Cricket, Lucy Arman, were stepping down from their roles.

Cook succeeded Paul Downton in 2023 and is said to want to return to a coaching role. Arman began her role in October 2024, at the start of the ominously named "Project Darwin Era."

The news would have been less of a shock had it been announced 12 months ago, but it comes as a surprise given how well both the men's and women's teams performed this year, with the former winning promotion and the latter reaching the semi-finals of both cup competitions.
