Dudgeon heads to Hove, Milnes and Northeast extend

The summer's worst kept secret is confirmed

When Keith Dudgeon signed for Kent in 2025 he made a sensational debut at Northants, but was then injured before the first home game with Middlesex: the news that he'd be out for the season spread round the ground faster than COVID.

Dudgeon made such an impact during his brief stay that the club nailed him down for 2026. He proved to be arguably the best overseas signing since Matt Henry, but by the time Kent returned to Northampton this year, another rumour was flying round the boundary at super-spreader speed.

The previous evening a senior figure at Sussex, with Kent connections, (too subtle?) had reportedly told a supporters' forum that Dudgeon was heading to Hove on a two-year deal.
