Parkinson on "weird" win at Merchant Taylors

Kent fans might have been feeling some tension at lunch on Day Four, after a morning session that lurched violently one and then the next, but spinner Matt Parkinson managed to stay calm.
With the game back in the balance, Parkinson rewarded Daniel Bell-Drummond's decision to throw him the ball by breaking a stand of 84 between Joe Cracknell and Tom Helm that was threatening to bring Middlesex back from the near dead, getting the former caught by his skipper at cover.
“I don’t think there were nerves," he said. "But I do think the lunch break came at a good time for us – they played well, Helm and Cracknell. I’ve not taken too many wickets this season, so to get two for 22 was nice. It helped that I’d bowled four overs yesterday and it had spun a bit."
