Round-up: Directors wanted, Crawley latest, Hasan and subtle hints

13.10.26, 16:43 Updated 14.10.26, 10:31

SITUATIONS VACANT

Is it time for cricket to follow football’s lead by inviting fan representatives into boardrooms? Kent are advertising for non-executive directors. The brief is ambitious: the successful candidate will be responsible for “ensuring we remain a force for good, genuinely changing the lives of the people of Kent.”

Unfortunately, the criteria are quite demanding and The Spitfire can think of multiple examples of potential administrators who are well qualified on paper but who in reality shouldn’t be allowed to run baths.
