Joe Denly was on a hiding to nothing when he did the post-match media duties after Kent's record-breaking Blast defeat at New Road on Friday night. He could hardly come out and agree with the county's more vituperative critics, but nor could he pretend it was anything other than a terrible result. In the end honesty was the best, and only, policy.
