Ahead of the final day against Middlesex, with Kent leading by 206 and three second innings wickets remaining, The Spitfire conducted an admittedly unscientific Twitter poll asking where everyone’s money was.

Only 32 percent of voters thought Middlesex would win, but of the remainder, 14.7 percent backed the draw. Kent were favourites for 26.5 percent of the electorate, the same percentage that backed the “Unspecified Act of God” option.
