After the first session of Kent’s County Championship game with Lancashire, the brains trust in the St. Lawrence dressing room were having to redraw their plans. The visitors were 78-0 at lunch and a wicket that everyone expected to be lively looked almost catatonic.
“We told Bertie, get ready, you're going to have a few overs to bowl this innings,” Daniel Bell-Drummond said. “And then we got Jennings out and after that it just completely changed.”
Keaton Jennings threw his wicket away, casually swatting Khaled Ahmed to Keith Dudgeon at backward point and carnage ensued, with all ten Lancashire wickets falling in a single session, for just 80 runs.
