Joe Denly's debut was so long ago that Tony Blair was Prime Minister, Kent were still playing in Maidstone and it used to rain during the English summer.
His official class debut came at Oxford in a washed out three day game at the end of April. Two overs were bowled over the course of three days and he was bowled for a golden duck by Amit Suman.
