The Mad Dog shows his teeth: Milnes on Middlesex

"It's not rocket science The bowlers have put it in an area for longer and the batters have found a way, if it's tough, of grinding it out..."

Matt Milnes looked happy, exhausted and perhaps slightly relieved after Kent's 49-run victory over Middlesex.

“When we were batting this morning, me and Dudge, we felt that we probably need to get a 60-70 run partnership to give us a chance," he said, before adding. "I obviously played pretty terribly, so that didn't help matters."

The shot he was referring to was a flick down the leg side early on day four, after he'd added just three to this overnight score.
