Evison leaves Kent for Sussex

There's a list of things I'd rather have in my house than the Daily Mail, including dry rot, velociraptors, Harold Shipman and several thousand gallons of floodwater, but as a man of Kent once wrote, even a stopped clock keeps the right time twice a day.
Earlier this week they reported Joey Evison was on his way to Sussex on a multi-format deal and it was hardly a surprise when it was confirmed today. The all-rounder hasn't had the happiest of seasons, averaging 21.5 with the bat in the championship and taking nine wickets in five games. He was dropped for the game with Durham at Beckenham and then retired out in the opening Blast game in theatrical fashion at Lord's, before a brief loan move to Leicestershire. He'll join Sussex at the end of this season, in a move approved by the ECB regulator, as Sussex are currently operating under financial restrictions.
