Kent, 223 all out, lost by six wickets to Lancashire, 22704.
Kent were rolled over by Lancashire with relative ease on Tuesday, victims of an unlucky toss, some dubious umpiring decisions and ultimately, not being good enough for long enough.
This was the maiden voyage for Lancashire's state-of-the-art "second home", which isn't quite the innovation it's being cracked up be. One online previewer said that "even" Surrey didn't have an alternative base, but Kent have effectively been working out of Canterbury and Beckenham for several seasons and before that there were seasons when Glamorgan oscillated between Cardiff and Swansea.
