Yes, just as Kent fans were all getting excited about the idea of seeing Tawanda Muyeye on Sunday, the news broke that Matt Milnes has been drafted by the Trent Rockets, something that sounds less like a cricket team and more like the psuedonym of an adult film star.
No one begrudges Milnes the opportunity: he has been outstanding in all formats this season and it's a chance to play in his home city. But the timing, 24 hours before a game Kent have to win to stand a chance of getting back to Trent Bridge for the Metro Bank Trophy final, is some way from optimal.
