Matt Parkinson is back in the 14-man crew for Tuesday's Rothesay County Championship trip to Derbyshire, while seamer Matt Milnes is rested.
The Matt-for-Matt swap is the only change to the squad that beat Worcestershire, meaning Kent will once again need to pick between two out of three overseas players.
Keith Dudgeon was expected to be rested for the Pears game and for that reason it'll be a surprise if he plays again, despite his late heroics on Saturday. In the aftermath of that win, coach Adam Hollioake spoke about the luxury of having bowlers to choose from, for the first time in his spell as Kent coach, and said Khaled Ahmed was likely to make his debut.
