Round-up: Sussex preview, Kent League round-up and DFL watch

The only change to the squad is an addition. Dian Forrester is added to the party of 14 who travelled to Lord’s on Saturday. Forrester was apparently so keen to make his Kent debut on Friday that he volunteered to play despite having only got off the plane flying him back from the IPL earlier in the day.

He went straight to Lord’s from the flight and messaged Sam Billings on the way to the ground, but given Kent’s strength and conditioning issues it was probably sensible that he didn’t rush into things. He’s described as an explosive hitter and high-energy fielder, which sounds encouraging. Less effusively, we’re told he can bowl “if needed.” If Forrester does play – and flying him halfway round the world suggest he probably will, who makes way? We’ll take the fifth on that one …
