Changes to this season's Blast format mean that finishing third in the group might not be enough to qualify for the knock-out stages. The top two in each group will go through, but as with the football World Cup, the third place teams are then placed in their own mini-league, ranked by points, net run and then head-to-head record.
This seems slightly off, although it's freakishly unlikely event that two sides could finish level on run rate and in Kent's case, this could only apply if Notts come third anyway.
With four games to go the potential complications are dizzying, but Kent are currently third in the South Group with 16 points and a net run rate of +0.075.
