QUINN AND STEWART OUT
Kent fans have learned to dread the pre-game team news, as it's invariably bad. Thursday’s update offered a double-blow, with Grant Stewart and Matt Quinn both out of contention for the trip to New Road due to “injuries sustained in training”.
Stewart’s problem is described as a “lower limb, soft-tissue injury” which presumably means his leg, unless he has any other limbs down there.
Quinn was said to be close to a return and now isn’t, having picked up a shoulder injury, again described as a soft tissue problem. With overseas signing Glenton Stuurman ruled out for the rest of his spell it means Kent are already three bowlers down and we’re not even at the end of April.
