Adam Hollioake knows how to tell a joke, as he demonstrated during a surprisingly eventful press conference at the St Lawrence, when he talked us through the interview process that saw him appointed as Kent’s Head Coach last year.
“Obviously one of the questions they ask you is, what are your strengths and weaknesses,” he said, before pausing. “And after speaking about my strengths for a couple of hours, I went on to my weaknesses.”
His weaknesses, he says, are in “administration and small behind-the-scenes details”.
Last year the coaching staff was threadbare and this meant he had to do things he hadn’t expected to.
