Kent have bolstered their bowling ranks by signing Bangladesh seamer Khaled Ahmed for the final four games of the Rothesay County Championship season.
The 33-year-old's arrival had been rumoured for the last week, after the Bangladesh Cricket Board decided not to grant Kent's original target, Shoriful Islam a "No Objection Certificate" due to worries over his workload.
Khaled has played 18 tests taking 34 wickets and he has two five wicket-hauls, both against West Indies in 2022.
“It’s an honour for me to play county cricket and join a club with a big history such as Kent," he said. "This is an important part of our season and I am determined to help the team achieve promotion. When I first heard of the news, It was an easy decision to say yes. Both Hasan (Mahmud) and my agent have told me lots of good things about their experience with Kent and how much of a family Club it is. I hope that I will make Kent’s Members and supporters, as well as fans back in Bangladesh, proud.”
