Guess what? We're not starting on time. Solid rain here from about 8.30 this morning has abated slightly, but there's still persistent drizzle. The word from downstairs is that everyone wants to get this done and as soon as there's a window, we'll get out there.

Lancs were apparently surprised Kent didn't want to take the extra half hour last night, and given the way the last couple of overs went, so were some of us. Muyeye took a particular liking to Shetty and effectively broke the back of the chase.

At 22-2 Lancs were well in it - Bailey looked like taking wickets with every delivery. At 84-2 it's going to take a serious collapse to make this tense again. A hat-trick would make things interesting.

Optimistic prediction: with the rain set to stop around half-ten, we might get going by noon.
